Kildimo N.S. is a rural school, situated in the village of Kildimo, 13 km west of Limerick City. The school serves children from the village and surrounding town lands. The main building dates from 1975. A prefabricated building comprising of two classrooms, learning support room and toilets was added in 1996. Refurbishment of classrooms and toilets was carried out in 2006/2007. The P.E. hall, a prefabricated building dating from 1983, was refurbished in 2008. An extension to the main building was carried out in 2009. This is a permanent structure comprising of a classroom, kitchen, storeroom, resource room and toilets. In 2010 the main building was re-roofed and the playground was resurfaced following extensive repair work to drains and gullies.

A Roman Catholic School

A Roman Catholic School (which is established in connection with the Minister for Education) aims at promoting the full and harmonious development of all aspects of the person of the pupil: intellectual, physical, cultural, moral and spiritual, including a living relationship with God and other people.  The school models and promotes a philosophy of life inspired by belief in God and in the life death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.  The Catholic school provides Religious education for the pupils in accordance with the doctrines, practices and tradition of the Roman Catholic Church and promotes the formation of the pupils in the Catholic Faith.
