Green-Schools

The purpose of Green-Schools is to promote awareness within the school of what we can do to improve our immediate school environment and that of the surrounding area.  In Kildimo N.S. we are proud to say that we have earned the first five flags, out of a possible eight.  The themes associated with these flags are Litter & Waste, Energy, Water, Travel and Biodiversity.  We continuously strive to maintain the standards achieved when granted these flags.  Each classroom has separate recycling and waste bins, energy monitors who ensure that lights and interactive boards are switched off when appropriate, participation in initiatives such as W.O.W and C.O.W. (Walk/Cycle on Wednesday) and various gardening projects carried out in our school garden.
